YAP Vicky

Vicky Yap is a Partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution department.

Vicky graduated from the University of Warwick in 1990 and is a non-practising member of the English Bar. She joined Lee & Lee as a pupil in 1995 and was called to the Singapore Bar in 1996. In 2002, she was made a Partner.
Vicky’s practice is devoted to family work concerning wills, estates, probate and administration in both contentious and non-contentious areas.

Her work includes: –

  • Advising high net worth clients on succession/estate planning
  • Advising on inter vivos and testamentary trusts
  • Acting for local and overseas clients, institutions and banks in applications for grants of probate and letters of administration
  • Advising trustees on their duties and responsibilities
  • Advising on estate tax matters and distribution of a deceased’s estate
  • Advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney and court applications under the Mental Capacity Act
  • Litigating contentious estate and trust matters

Vicky presently serves on the Probate Practice and Succession Planning Committee of the Law Society of Singapore and is a tutor of the Singapore Institute of Legal Education’s (Part B Singapore Bar Examinations) course on Wills, Probate & Administration.
