IP Update – IPOS appointed as International Authority in Patent Search and Examination under the Patent Cooperation Treaty

The Intellectual Property Office of Singapore’s (“IPOS”) appointment as an International Authority in Patent Search and Examination under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (“PCT”) has taken effect.

The appointment was made on 25 September 2014 by the Assembly of the PCT Union during the 54th World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Assemblies. Consultant Hon. Justice (Ret’d) Goh Joon Seng appointed to Appointing Committee in respect of disciplinary proceedings relating to the Singapore International Commercial Court

Justice (Ret’d) Goh Joon Seng, has been appointed by the Chief Justice to the Appointing Committee constituted under section 36Q of the Legal Profession Act in respect of disciplinary proceedings relating to the Singapore International Commercial Court (“SICC”).
