YAP Vicky

Vicky Yap is a Partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department.

She graduated from the University of Warwick (United Kingdom) and was called as a Barrister-At-Law (Inner Temple) of England and Wales. She joined Lee & Lee as a pupil in 1995 and was called as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 1996.

Vicky’s practice is devoted to family and private client work concerning wills, estates, trusts, probate and administration in both contentious and non-contentious settings.

Her work includes: –

  • Advising high net worth clients on succession/estate planning and drafting wills
  • Advising on inter-vivos and testamentary trusts
  • Acting for local and overseas clients and institutions in applications for grants of probate and letters of administration
  • Advising trustees and administrators on their duties
  • Advising on Lasting Power of Attorney applications and court applications for deputyships under the Mental Capacity Act (2008)
  • Litigating contentious estate matters.

Vicky presently serves on the Probate Practice and Succession Planning Committee of the Law Society of Singapore. She has also been a lecturer and a course coordinator of the Singapore Institute of Lega Education’s course on Wills, Probate & Administrator (Part B Singapore Bar Examinations).
