About Hwee Fang LOO

Loo Hwee Fang is a Partner in the Corporate department.

Hwee Fang graduated from the University of Sheffield, England, with an LL.B (Hons) degree in 1996. She was admitted to the English Bar in 1997, and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 1998.

Hwee Fang’s main area of practice is in corporate finance, capital markets and fund management.  Her scope of work in this area includes initial public offerings, fund raising, takeovers, mergers and acquisitions, advising on stock exchange procedures, compliance and corporate governance issues and seeking rulings from the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited, the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Securities Industry Council. Hwee Fang also advises and acts for foreign and local investment fund companies and fund managers on matters relating to fund investments and offering of funds.   Her scope of work in this area includes the establishment of private equity/venture capitals funds, liaising with foreign counsels on foreign regulatory requirements and advising on licensing and exempt status relating to fund management/financial advisory activities under the relevant legislations.  She also advises major corporations, banks and financial institutions on licensing and regulatory issues.

Hwee Fang is also currently a company secretary to listed and private corporations and advises and attends to all corporate secretarial related matters of these corporations.
